About the Role

IKEA is hiring Store Coworkers for its new store in Chandigarh at Elante Mall. This launch is an important step in the brand’s expansion across Northern India, following the successful opening of two stores in Delhi, and brings IKEA closer to customers in one of the country’s most dynamic cities.

The company is looking for passionate co-workers who share its values, are inspired by home furnishing, and are committed to creating meaningful customer experiences. Selected candidates may work across different functions such as Sales, Customer Relations, Food or Logistics depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience by actively engaging with customers throughout their shopping journey.
• Act as an ambassador of the brand by sharing knowledge about products and services with customers and colleagues.
• Support customers across different touchpoints, ensuring a seamless omnichannel experience.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the product range and contribute to offering complete and sustainable home furnishing solutions.
• Ensure the store is well-presented, fully stocked, and range presentation is up to date.
• Contribute to high product availability by supporting fulfilment processes, stock accuracy and timely deliveries.
• Use systems and tools effectively to support efficient goods flow and operations.
• Work across different functions such as Sales, Customer Relations, Food or Logistics based on business needs.
• Follow store routines and working methods to maximise efficiency at the customer meeting point.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by adhering to health, safety and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail, sales, customer service or a similar field.
• Passion for creating a great customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong interest in home furnishing and an understanding of customers’ everyday life needs.
• Curious, proactive and confident in approaching and communicating with people.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate across functions.
• Good digital awareness and comfort in using systems and tools.
• Organised, able to prioritise tasks and make efficient use of time.
• Customer-first mindset with a business-minded and result-driven approach.
• Clear and polite communication skills, both written and spoken.
