About the Role
We are hiring a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python and Django. This role is remote (work from home) and requires strong backend development skills, database experience, and the ability to collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and Django.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
- Manage and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Write efficient, scalable, and secure code with proper tests.
- Collaborate with frontend teams for smooth integration and delivery.
- Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Follow best practices for version control, deployments and CI/CD.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience working with Python and Django (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Django ORM and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with Git and deployment platforms (AWS, Heroku, etc.).
- Good problem-solving ability and communication skills.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines or cloud services is a plus.
